Paid subscription terms — version 2026-10-12
Your seller is AltoDocs ApS, CVR 46738276, VAT DK46738276, Vennemindevej 18, st. tv., c/o Kunt Alp Celebi, 2100 København Ø, Denmark. Contact contact@altodocs.io for billing, invoices, complaints or support.
A subscription supplies the selected number of editing seats for one AltoDocs organisation. Choose monthly or yearly billing. Before payment, checkout shows the currency, seats, base amount, VAT and total for each billing period. Revolut processes payment and stores your payment method; AltoDocs does not receive your full card number.
Your subscription starts when the first payment succeeds and renews automatically for the same billing period until cancelled. Payment is due in advance. The seven-day organisation trial requires no card and does not automatically become a paid subscription. Starting a paid subscription ends the need for trial access.
Cancel future renewals at any time in Billing → Cancel subscription. You keep paid access until the displayed end of the billing period. Ordinary cancellation does not refund the current period. If a payment fails, paid editing may pause; your documents remain available under the account's applicable viewing and export access. Account deletion does not replace cancellation of a subscription.
At launch, self-service changes to seats, currency or billing interval on an existing subscription are unavailable. Contact us before changing your billing country or VAT status. We will give advance notice of a proposed price change and an opportunity to cancel before it applies.
Consumer withdrawal and refunds
If you buy as a consumer, you may withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of entering into the subscription contract, without giving a reason. Requesting immediate access does not waive this right. AltoDocs will refund the subscription payment in full when you exercise this right within that period. We will return the payment using the original payment method, without a refund fee, within 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice.
Use Withdraw from contract, available in the website footer and Billing, to submit your notice and receive a confirmation by email. You can instead email contact@altodocs.io or write to the address above. Sending the notice before the deadline is sufficient. Include your name and information identifying your subscription. You may use this wording: “I hereby withdraw from my AltoDocs subscription contract, ordered on [date], for [organisation/account]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].” A signature is needed only for a notice sent on paper.
Refunds, remedies for a defective service and other mandatory consumer rights remain available where the law requires them. The limits on liability, indemnification and choice of court in the general terms apply only to the extent permitted by law; they do not remove protections or courts available to consumers in their country of residence. These paid subscription terms take priority if they conflict with the general terms below.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using AltoDocs, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Service Description
AltoDocs is a computational document editor for engineers. You can create, edit, collaborate on, and export engineering calculations and documentation.
3. Account Responsibilities
- Provide accurate registration information
- Keep your password confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
4. Your Content & Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all documents and calculations you create.We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license solely to host, store, and display your content to provide the service.
5. AI Features
AltoDocs offers optional AI assistance powered by third-party AI providers. By using an AI feature you understand and agree that:
- AI runs on an API key you provide yourself. Your prompt and any content or images you include are sent, under your own account, to the third-party AI provider you connect, which processes the data under its own terms and data location. See our Privacy Policy, section 5.
- You are responsible for what you submit. Do not enter personal data of other people, or confidential third-party information, into AI features without a lawful basis to do so.
- AI output is generated automatically, may be incorrect or incomplete, and must be independently verified before use (see section 9).
- AI features are optional; you can use AltoDocs fully without them.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share account credentials with others
- Attempt to access, probe, or hack systems or data
- Use the service for illegal or harmful purposes
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
7. Third-Party Services
The service relies on third-party providers (for hosting, storage, analytics, email and AI) listed in our Privacy Policy. Your use of AI features is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond our role as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance when possible. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
9. Engineering Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Important: AltoDocs is a tool to assist your engineering work. All calculations and outputs must be independently verified by qualified professionals. We are not liable for engineering decisions, structural failures, or any damages arising from reliance on AltoDocs outputs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AltoDocs' liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding any claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify AltoDocs against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose security risks, with notice when practicable.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms with 30 days notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
